Paris Hilton’s Campaign Video on Energy Policy
August 6th, 2008 by Damon CliffordWhether you like her or not, you have to appreciate the humor in the Paris Hilton Presidential Campaign’s video at FunnyOrDie.com. Even though she didn’t write the script, I have to agree (while I’m biting my lip) with what she says about energy.
We need to drill for new oil offshore while developing hybrid and electric cars. This would be included in the plan for a short term and a long term solution.

So the USA drills for more oil, finds plenty, and then sells it to China. Seriously, unless the USA nationalizes its energy reserves this oil will be sold to the highest bidder - possibly being in another country.
What this country needs to do is recognize that energy is part of our national security concerns. The USA needs an energy policy that nationalizes our reserves and invests profits into new energy technologies. We would then be able to discover and implement new energy technologies much quicker.
